“THE LIGHTNESS OF BEING” / Solo Performance and introductory workshops by MInako Seki

Once a year we takeconscious time to meet again with our friends, artists and interested folks; joining for an intensive exchange, getting to know the Benediktushof and the Foundation and jubilate all the efforts taken during the year.
In this special weekend we wish to celebrate life, not less mindful, but in a very relaxed manner.

Under the motto “The Lightness of Being” for the summer festival 2016 we expect a very open, bright and playful reunion with lots of fun and smiley faces.

As its name suggests, the Benediktushof is a former Benedictine monastery, founded in the 8th century.
From 2002 the property was turned into the base of theWilliges Jäger Foundation.

Willigis Jäger (born 7 March 1925 in Hösbach) is a German Benedictine monk, mystic, and Zen master, who trained and taught in the Sanbo Kyodan tradition (being given the Japanese nameKoun-ken) until 2009, and then continued his own sangha independently.
In theCenter they organize daily workshops, master classes, seminars, workshops, meditation gatherings, and celebrations.

In his words: “I founded the “Willigis Jäger Stiftung West-Östliche Weisheit“ in 2007, personally endowing the Foundation with my life’s work. The Foundation pursues my main objective of leading people to experience reality on a trans-confessional and trans-personal level. The Foundation represents a platform for practising the ways of attaining this level, and is a platform for projects, which, on the basis of this experience, are intended to help inspire 21st-century society and give it a new direction.”
